@kamdigital , are you setting your relay to momentary (me) or toggle? Either way works and is just user preference. Once you get things squared away you're going to be 99.99% happy with the Excalibur light bar. I am. The remote location behind the shifter on the console lid is so natural it's like Ford put it there.

If your relay was defective, this just confirms a worry I have in the back of my head. The relay is inexpensive and this can sometimes mean cheap. 🤞🤞🤞🤞 the relay lasts a good while.

@oneinch I have the relay set to momentary, and it lights up when I press and hold and turns off when I let go of the remote button. That being said, I do suspect that maybe I just got a bad relay and the one arriving Monday will resolve the issue. I’ll definitely touch base once it’s all done just to give you an update.

If this is the case, you don't have it wired normally closed. My light does just the opposite. My button turns the lights off, not on.

On the relay's bus bar, the center terminal isn't used. The is the normally open (NO) terminal. From top to bottom the terminals are:
Negative
Positive
Normally Open (NO)
Common
Normally Closed (NC)

They labeled on the back side too.

Oh no, I meant the light on the relay illuminates when I press the remote button, the actual lightbar does nothing, but I’ve got it wired just like your instructions in the image below. The remote is able to be programmed, but there is no signal going to the light bar

@oneinch I’ve given up, I’m guessing maybe something is different with the electrical system in the Raptors because I cannot get the new relay to interrupt the signal at all. I’ve got everything wired up exactly as indicated, with everything neat and tidy, using the ferrules and wago connectors and heat shrink. I even got a nice black dust proof box to store it in but no dice. I’ve got the remote programmed to momentary, but when I press it, it will not shut off the lightbar. I’m just going to call it for now, but may take to a shop at some point to see if there are other options. Pretty bummed I spent all the money buying the supplies on Amazon since I can’t return any of it now, but oh well, thanks again for all thr recommendations. Here’s a few images

@kamdigital , Without the relay installed your light bar works properly, yes? With the relay installed your light bar still works properly, yes? So it's just a matter of getting the switch in the relay to work. Hmmm.

Have you tried seeing what happens if you program the the relay to be a latching (on/off) switch instead of a momentary switch? This shouldn't matter though, but it's easy to try. I can't fathom why a Raptor would be electrically different than my F150.

Try two things. First, re-program to a latching switch. Second, switch the wiring from the NC terminal to NO terminal. I don't think either of these are fixes. It just gathering information that might be useful.

I'm going to do some multi meter testing. I'll PM you with what I do and the results. Will this be telling for you? Dunno.

Hey @oneinch, yes lightbar works with the relay installed and before installation. I’ll try the latching mode and also try using the NO terminal and report back.

@oneinch So tried to program the remote to latching, but since it’s a one button remote that option didn’t work, the instructions say that after pressing the learning button 3x, you should press one button (A), then press an alternate button (B). In the video on the Amazon website there is a demo of this process also, but again it’s with 2 button remotes. I also tried moving from the NC to NO terminal and that too did nothing, the lightbar functions without interruption when pressing the remote.
