Is there a way to change the pedestrian sound with Forscan? I don’t want to disable it but is there a way to change it to something less obnoxious like the sound on a Lincoln Hybrid? Lincoln’s sound much less obnoxious. Is there a module you change a setting to something like the Lincoln Pedestrian Alert?

Just bypass it. It’s dumb. ICE engines these days are just about whisper quiet too, but they don’t require backup alarms on them, so why do they require on hybrids? More government regulation BS. I deleted mine and love it. There’s also a reason you have a fancy backup camera along with mirrors. Always check your surroundings and backup with caution, I don’t need some annoying backup beeper that sounds like I’m driving a UPS truck. As quiet as combustion vehicles are, they still make a lot more noise than something running on battery. Just an FYI tampering of the pedestrian warning system is the first place the insurance company's lawyers will check if you're in a low speed incident.

I get it. I’m willing to take the sliver of a chance. I’ve got a stellar driving record and haven’t ever even been close to hitting a pedestrian. And, if I ever did happen to hit someone, I’d plug the speaker back in before anyone could ever know the better. Yes I’m a bit rogue, I know. Thanks for the heads up though.

An EV with the air conditioner on sounds pretty similar to me.

Or put another way, if I'm parked and sitting in the Mach-E or Powerboost in the Texas summer, someone walking past the front wouldn't think I'm sitting in an EV. 😁

I agree! Now that I think about it, I don’t think Teslas have any backup alarms… do they?
