Hi Everyone, I’ve been meaning to get on this thread sooner. I apologize if this sounds like a broken record. I recently upgraded from my 2.7L to a 2023 Powerboost. The last 2-3 months the truck has been going into deep sleep, and the truck alerts in the mornings with “12V state of charge Low”, and or shows a message on the 12” display goes into “System off to save battery”. FordPass remote start/lock/unlock is all disabled when this happens. I have purchased a tester and the battery has been checking out as what it considers good. That being a state of charge between 40-60% based on my local 5-7mile daily driving(more on the weekends) 40% SOC being closer to in the cold mornings we’ve had in Michigan. I also took the truck up to Advanced Auto Parts and it checked out good as well. I checked the 12V in the rear compartment and that tested out great. I’ve read many of the threads on here, many folks have replaced batteries, or taken to the dealer to find out they won’t replace it. Does anyone have any other option before I force my dealer to look at it? It’s been frustrating dealing with it, and the worries of the battery depleting and being stranded waiting for a tow is not ideal. (I saw the post recently of the Powerboost not taking a jump start while on a vacation and needing to tow it out) I am planning on resting the BMS to see if it helps clear anything out? Any other tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Step 1, charge it up w/ a battery charger (AGM).
Step 2, leave HVAC blower on setting 5 or above always.

Planning on charging up once the weather turns a bit. I read about the HVAC blower. Is that to prevent it from utilizing ICE and keeping the gas engine running longer? Seems that my truck is using battery very often on even these frigid days. (Sorry if my terminology is mixed up)

The HVAC trick just over-rides the BMS and keeps the 12v bus voltage up by adding another 1.5v. The way that this helps is that it keeps the battery charged for longer as the truck will try and drain down the charge to 80% and while on will only keep the voltage from 12.75-13.3 or so. W/the blower on 5, the voltage is 14.5-15v.

This has no bearing on remote start, with the driver's door open, or if the FOB is not inside of the vehicle. It's shitty logic, ford should change it, but is what it is.

Appreciate your explanation. Thank you

Do you do a lot of short distance driving? Do you use auto start often? If answer to any of them is yes, then purchase a NOCO Genius5 or 10 and charge the main battery under the hood. I charge mine every Sunday night. Place it in AGM mode and place the negative alligator clip on the BMS as shown on the picture. Connect the alligator clips first and then plug in the NOCO to your wall outlet. I have also attached a YouTube link by Ford Authority showing the same thing.
