?? I used to not be one of the first to get updates but a few months ago the Ford gods moved me up the list. Yes we need permanent banner that says charge you battery and reset BMS. I do it about once a month or after a bigger update just to make sure it’s fully charged.Man, Ford loves you. You seem to always be among the first to get OTA's.
It's an SCCM updates. It requires the vehicle to be inhibited and takes about 10 minutes.
Before anyone asks: The reason it is failing is due to low SOC. Charge your battery up and reset the BMS once it is fully charged.
There. I just saved myself like a dozen posts in the near future. lol
Wow, you get them so fast. Me, I'm still on one of the versions os 6.Received this power up last night. They are rolling these updates out pretty regularly now. Gauge cluster was reset back to default this morning.

Just checked the OTA in your truck, and it went through in spite of low battery SOC and it only took 4 minutes to install.?? Interesting….I didn’t charge yet this month due to driving on longer than normal trips on a regular basis and figured all was good since start/stop was still working. Maybe they relaxed them on the smaller updates. Off to the garage I go to hook up the charger ?Just checked the OTA in your truck, and it went through in spite of low battery SOC and it only took 4 minutes to install.

I wonder if Ford relaxed the parameters a bit when it comes to this, and if so, is it only for this OTA?
Trying Auto start/stop is a good way to quickly check your SOC level. A.s.s. stops working when the battery's SOC is 75% or less. So, if A.s.s works you know at minimum your above 75% SOC.Interesting….I didn’t charge yet this month due to driving on longer than normal trips on a regular basis and figured all was good since start/stop was still working. I did. https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/ecu-module-programming-guide-using-fdrs.8249/post-398549. SSM 52078 said that reprogramming the SCCM might cause a DTC that needs to be corrected with an IPMA update. It didn’t say that it necessarily would. I never got a DTC after updating the SCCM with FDRS.Didn't someone post that new SCCM update would cause a soft code until future IPMA update corrects it?
I did my SCCM the other day in FDRS but i recall it being chained to the IPMA update....ie I couldnt update one without doing the other. No DTCs.I did. https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/ecu-module-programming-guide-using-fdrs.8249/post-398549. You must have had pretty old software on your IPMA. I had no pending IPMA updates when I updated my SCCM a week ago and the IPMA update the SSM was referring to isn’t due out until the end of December.I did my SCCM the other day in FDRS but i recall it being chained to the IPMA update....ie I couldnt update one without doing the other.
