Just to add on, 07/2021 truck. Got 4.2.1 on the 26th and 4.2.2 on the 27th both OTA. Also here is the current sync info. Oh and I don’t remember seeing a “hands-free” expiration date before.

It's a 1/4 mile walk from the RV to the mailbox at the front of the property.
So when I get back to the porch to sort through the junk, I'm halfway to work?

Us rural folks can't really imagine. It's a 14 mile round trip to get milk. ?

If my commute was 2 miles, my Ford extended warranty would be 10 years/10,000 miles?

you know it, its 12 miles to brookshires, another 22 to chiropractor
but the flip is.....we often go 4 or 5 days and never leave home. i sure do enjoy living in the "sticks"
i have been known to go 2 months on same tank of fuel ?

You know how people here drive. Right by my house, there is a street where there is dedicated lane to turn right, but people use it to skip the line of people trying to go straight when the light turns green. Since I have lived in the same neighborhood for most of my life, I am privy to that little trick. Anytime my truck is the first car at the light to go straight and the light turns green and some asshole is trying to pull that stunt on me, I load the chassis, release the brake and punch it with the AWD on. The look on people's faces when my 6000lbs behemoth of a truck blows the doors off of them is priceless every time. lol

i am going to run in sport mode, lots of twisty 2 lane farm roads up and back .

Got 4.2.2 last night, updated on it's own about a day after getting 4.2.1.

No issues with CarPlay, Pandora still comes up nicely like before. However, one thing I though was a little odd was the headlight setting after the update. The truck was chiming at me when I turned off the engine, took a while to figure out why... I leave it on Auto (and generally don't touch it at all) or perhaps switch to Off to await updates, but it always defaults back to Auto. Not this time, not sure why, but it was apparently on a manual "On" mode after the update.

very interesting.. you got the USE USB i got lost connection with server modem thing last time

today on the run to the VA zero issues worked perfect, even made a few phone calls

pandora still had to play thru phone vice on screen ap.

I was getting the same on occasion after 22228 via. FDRS. I did the pull the plug thing, on the TCU overnight and it ceased doing it. Photo from 12/15/22

My commute isn’t much longer, 2.75 miles if I remember correctly. I no longer take the most direct route and go out of my way to stretch it to 4 miles.

I hear ya on that! When waiting for updates, I take the "long way" 6 miles instead of 5 to work, and hope for a little traffic. ?

4.2.x is bad. As "minor" as the issues are they irk me everytime they pop up, which happens fairly often for me. I exclusively stream music just because I want to listen to what I want commerical free. I may end up throwing some music onto a flash drive and try to avoid the Sync issues until an bug fix happens.

As nice as OTA updates are, introducing issues like these is definitely a downside to it.
