Fantastic! Should the 0044 at the end of the line also be 0054? I messaged you that I have a Mongoose ordered and asked if I would be able to do it with fdrs. I have the truck at home.

The last two digits of every line is the Checksum and are calculated based on the prior digits.

I can't seem to login to FDRS. The 2-day license key that I bought was validated, but I can't login with a userid/password. The three options for logging in in the dropdown list are:

Deal/Ford Employee
Non-Dealer Motorcraft
Non-Dealer ETIS

I assume I need to use Non-Dealer ETIS? I've tried the userid/password that I use to login to motorcraftservice.com as well as the userid/password that I created when I bought the license. The license site required that I create another account other than the one that I use for motorcraftservice.com. What am I doing wrong?

If I click Non-Dealer/Motorcraft I get a popup with the message:

Cannot reach FDRS servers. Would you like to run the tool offline with limited functionality or retry login?

Nevermind. I turned off all of the Windows firewall stuff and it worked.

For some reason, fdrs wasn't making the correction, but Jesse-Infotainment was able to fix it by remotely accessing my laptop and using Forscan to manually change the configuration value from 0322 to 0332. My tailgate is working perfectly now!

Thanks again to Jesse-Infotainment and to TJSAM for starting this thread and giving Jesse his VIN so he could see what the correct value should be.

So glad I found this site.

First time FDRS user and am currently have these exact problems. Cannot reach FDRS servers. Also did you determine if it was the motorcraftservice credentials or the credentials from the site that licenses the software?

Motorcraft service credentials log you into FDRS
Thank you again. I am finally able to connect but only using the Non-Dealer option. Looks like the software has changed a bit again since the guide.

My connection issue, for future folks, was the Microsoft Firewall. I had already disabled it for my network but that wasn't sufficient; I had to turn it off completely. Not just Bit Defender but the Firewall as well.

I also received my F150 Platinum this week after waiting for 11 months and the power tailgate does not work. In the settings, Manual is selected and if I try to change it to Power I get the "try again later" message. The tailgate just beeps three times if I try to open it with the fob, dash button, or the tailgate button. The dealer has tried updates for two days and is now being told by Ford engineering to replace the Gateway control module which they say might be corrupt. Of course the module is not available at any warehouse right now, and who knows if that is even the problem. I have the truck right now and everything else seems to work, but not being able to open the tailgate is a killer. I'm to the point of considering removing the inside tailgate panel and checking for anything obvious or at least manually pulling on the latch rods to open it. Very frustrating!
@MichaelJones810 I have been fighting the "try again later" message for weeks. I took the access panel off the back and ran line through the latches to manually open each one. It's just out of warranty so I really need an answer. Did they correct your issue?

Ok I have found the issue between looking at @TJSam logs and the new issue @MichaelJones810 is having.

They apear to have configed the gateway wrong. The truck of these two people are identical. I can see that after the dealer replaced and ran the PMI the config changed on the top line of the gateway. The gateway doesnt need to be replaced.

All the dealer needs to do is run a config on the gateway.

If you have the truck at home and want to fix it yourself you can with Forscan.

Wrong config is


716-01-01
032200000044

Correct one is


716-01-01033200000054


I can see in the logs teh two changed to a 3 and that enabled the network the RTGM is on.

The dealer can easily confirm if the config fixed it by looking at the as buiild after running a config. The best way to fix this issue would be to run a PMI on the gateway in the truck. When asked if original module is installed select no. It will force FDRS to pull the correct as build from teh server rather than pulling it from the old module.

Edit.. This is For this situation. If you have a different Truck check with me. These two both had identical trucks down to the color. They are power boost as well. If you do not have a power boost or in fact jsut check with me on your situation is best.
As indicated in this thread, Jesse-Infotainment was able to fix this on my truck using Forscan to change the value. I took the truck to the dealer today to fix a couple minor recalls and they are telling me that the can't communicate with the PCM and are going to have to pull the dash to check for wiring issues. Before they do this, is there any way that making a change with Forscan prevents the dealer from accessing the pcm with fdrs? Should I go up there with my laptop and Forscan and restore the as-built config before they tear into it?
