Plug cap found in wheel well

Feel free to move this if it belongs elsewhere.

Can anyone identify what this plug is?

I found it on the front drivers side upper control arm joint just chilling there. I couldn’t find any loose wires in that area:

If you can't find a harness end just sitting bare somewhere, then I suspect it's not applicable to your truck as optioned?

Looks like a termination plug to me (blanks on the backside). If you have a plug similar plugged in somewhere, it wouldn't be needed.

I agree. Termination plug used more than likely under the hood or along the frame to protect an unused pigtail harness.

@nanoghost do you have the plow prep package on your truck?

Is it something to do with the snow plow prep package? I can't find it in connector views.

this seems to be common
we are see quiet a bit of EXTRA blank off plugs , many threads on it.
its comical sort of
if they build the truck an dplug in a harness, why not RECYCLE the blank off plug for the net harness?????
