I currently own a 2021 f-150, last summer I added putco window deflectors, and everyday in the spring and summer when rolling windows up I get bounce back everytime. I tried programming it with holding the window button up and I can program it for that day and it works fine, but after shutting the truck off and restarting it, I have to reprogram it. After a year it’s getting old. Is there a way to completely shut this bounce back off? Is there a way in forscan or any other way? Thanks for your time

I'm assuming that these are in chanel deflectors. They may be slightly too thick, thus causing the bounce back. Even though you are successful in resetting the windows now, when you start a new key cycle, the truck thinks that something is blocking the window. Do both front windows do the same thing.? If so, then the deflectors are to blame. You may have to try a different brand. Hope this helps.

Yes they are in channel deflectors. But I stuck with the bran putco because that’s what ford sells on their website thinking it was the right move…

Mine does this. Just tried the reprogramming and hope that works.

Try the dealer as there is a TSB to correct this problem. My driver window did this a few times and the update corrected the problem.

Well that stinks. My passenger window started doing it and the reprogramming worked. Before I programmed it I could kind of glide it in there by releasing the button a little early.

I do appreciate you looking it up for me as well. If I bring it to ford (which it’s in their now for a bad front parking aid sensor) they will just blame it on the window deflectors

My truck has done this several times - as recently as this past week. And I have no obstacles, unless the window tint is too thick.. (joking lol)

I ripped out the putco in channel window deflectors and installed exterior ones. I like to leave them open a tad while I’m at work so I can let some of the heat out. They work fine now so I’m assuming that was the issue

Ironically, when this happened 3-4 days ago, I had left both front windows cracked open about an inch for that same reason. When I got in it to leave work, the bounce back happened 2-3 times before I got it to close and stay there.

Could you tell me the TSB number? Heading to the dealer again tomorrow for transmission issues, but perhaps I can get this looked at as well...Thanks!

I am having the same problem and figured it was because of the vents in the window channel.

It gets worse when it is warm outside. It usually is the front windows but recently I had problems with the back.

Funny how when you purchase the recommended in-channel deflectors direct from the dealer they cause this issue. I also have the Putco smoke in-channel and have reset the bounce back several times, but it always just goes back to bouncing a day or two later. I've tried leaving them closed for 48hrs but that didn't seem to make any difference.

I wonder if the dealer will give me a refund/exchange for out of channel...

@Lightninz04 Was there any issue pulling out the in-channels? Like reside left behind etc?
