My truck did something weird today. When I exited the parking lot making a right turn the throttle was unresponsive for like 3 seconds then it suddenly kicked in. I scaned with Forscan and it seems like the DTCs are unrelated to the unresponsive throttle.

However I also got some weird DTC for the power steering which is totally unexpected.

I had the OTA GWM update 24-PU0227-VI-RBS earlier this week? Could this all be related to it?

Can't help much, except to say that the PSCM DTC is irrelevant ONLY IF your incident was not at the EVENT_TIME and VEHICLE_SPEED values listed in the freeze frame.

If you were indeed just exiting a parking lot, I can't see you doing that at 32 km/h; it seems more likely this DTC happened during a lane change or wide corner. ?‍♂

What you're describing is very similar to how my truck behaves when the traction control kicks in, did you happen to notice if the traction control light was flashing?

The communication codes don't looks like anything to be concerned about. Software updates can cause lots of communication codes. If the codes come back shortly after clearing them, you might have an issue, but they probably won't come back.

The time day stamp shows the power steering error happened 2 days before the unresponsive / delayed acceleration.

However I had another strange message that popped up around the same day and time. I got this message on the IPC screen “Normal Cruise Active Adaptive Braking Off” along with very rapid DoDoDo chime, like the truck is panicking. I wonder if the power steering error is related to that.

After getting the latest OTA GWM update I get these weird issues. Not sure if it’s a coincidence or the cause of this mess.

I did glance at the IPC screen but I don’t recall seeing any traction control lights. I will watch out for it if this happens again.

I used to get the trailer brake fault message and had 3 DTCs related the trailer module. Now it’s only one DTC related to trailer module. Hopefully this OTA GWM update did at least take of trailer brake fault and that one lingering DTC will eventually go away.

Reboot the truck, kill the 12v and then go from there.

Besides disconnecting the 12v battery under the hood, I’m assuming the small 12v battery under the passenger side rear seat must be disconnected too since mine is a Powerboost? How long should the batteries be disconnected?

Is there a quick way to reboot the truck using Forscan instead of disconnecting the batteries?

Yes, not long. Just a few minutes.
