Wheel Issue, am I getting the runaround from Ford

I’m a longtime lurker but time to jump in…

2019 F150 STX has 24K on it. Had a slow leak in rear passenger tire. I could not find the leak. Took it to local mechanic, put it on the rack. After 20 minutes of looking, finally found the leak…a crack on inside of rim BEHIND the balancing weight. My truck is a daily driver, local commute within bumper-to-bumper.

Took it to local dealer and submitted pics to Ford. They say evidence of trauma and will not cover it. Frustrated, I call customer service and get A case number. They send me back to service department. Service department says they do not know why I am back. Claim denied. Tire has no evidence of abuse. Crack is on the inside of rim. As a lifelong Ford man, I am very frustrated.

Am I getting a runaround? Thoughts?

Exactly what technical professional conducted testing on the rim to determine they are not at fault? A "crack" with no signs of deformation is most likely a stress fracture in the material. They should replace it free of charge. Unfortunately, it will take a metallurgical lab to examine it conclusively. I have decent background in materials, mostly metal and my question is is the defect located near a machining operation?

Crack is right on the outer edge of the rim, no indentations or other indication of blunt force around it.
