Perimeter Alarm - 2022 XLT

The perimeter plus adds shock sensitivity to the factory door intrusion. If you don't have remote start, it adds it via standard fob lock/unlock button combo.

I added this to my 2013 XLT and I want to add it to my 2021 powerboost lariat. I wonder why these kits are 22’ to 24’? I can’t find one for 21’.

If you forscan'd it in and then got an OTA, it could have reverted you. After making forscan changes, save your file so that if an OTA reverts you, you can quickly go back in revert them back.

In my '22 platinum, it's in the Sync menus, although I can't remember exactly where. It randomly resets to no prompt and I have to go back into the menus to turn on the prompts.

Yeah, the 21+ is pretty much the same guts sans some options. There's a hard line between 20 and 21 for computers and related systems. 24 changed a bit with encryption ending the comma 3x for instance, for now. EU mandated encryption to help thwart vehicle thefts and life-threatening cyber vulnerabilities.

The encryption makes it so only the manufacturer can do these types of things, for now.

@LouDog, did you end up trying to install on your 2021? I’ve got a 2021 XLT and interested to move forward but had the same question. Looking for evidence it’ll work.

i did and all works! Even added the led indicator on the dash. Let me know if you have any questions on install.

Great thanks! Besides the perimeter plus part referenced in the threads above what else did you need to order for the LED install? Do you have that part number?
