@TacoJon, or any other owners, what did you mount your box to under the dash?
I just used zip ties and tucked it under the dash. Plenty of brackets and things to connect it to under there. The cable they give is is unnecessarily long so I folded it up and zip-tied it together.

You're not kidding, much, much too long. But, I get the impression that there are some vehicle where you may need to go through the firewall and into the engine bay, so that may explain it. There were install instructions that mentioned the engine bay.

The pedal monster looks like the one to get feature wise, but I don't like that it's OBD2. That means you can't log with it.

Edit: nevermind, I see that they sell a splitter.

edit2: nevermind again, the splitter doesnt work with scanners simultaneously

Definitely the safer option since it has built-in fail safes.
