Payload 2022 bs 2024

I just looked at a 2024 502a Lariet and it had same options as my 2022… well except for the hud and extended running board and it lost a 100 lbs of payload vs my 2022.

I was stunned that within the same gen that basically the same truck would have less payload ….

Quite a few trucks have 50lbs higher GVWR as well so it may be even a bigger gap than payload tells you.

Early in the generation, trucks had many things separate as individual options. As model years pass, fewer items were available as separate options and were either added as standard or packaged together. It's not surprising to me at all that to get a similarly equipped truck in '24 you have less payload than a '21 or '22. You probably also got a bunch of extra stuff in the '24 you don't realize as well.

My 2022 is missing bluecruise, self parking , and ccd … I think I got everything else …
