Paint or powder coat?

Hello, I purchased this truck with some curb rash on the wheels. Does anyone know if these wheels are painted or powder coated, it looks thicker to me. So I'm assuming it's a powder coated finish.

Would guess factory wheels are painted, cheaper and quicker.

Contact the MFG. I would find it hard to think anyone would choose paint over powder coating. If there is a spot that is not readily visible do a cross hatch test. Take a razor and make four cuts in a tic tac toe configuration. Then apply a piece of tape firmly to that area and yank it off. If you see any burrs or the coating is removed then it is paint.

Chances are you can find OEM pulls at a place like American Wheel and Tire and swap out the damaged rim for a couple hundred bucks. Or take it to a rim repair company and they can fix it for pretty cheap. Or do both and have a spare rim.
