Ordering Dilemna

At the end of April, I ordered a PB Platinum due to lack of availability on the local lots.

Just like magic, a few have shown up on other dealer lots, with the exact configuration that I had ordered, with ADM of course. These dealers had indicated that they won't accept X plan for dealer stock and only for orders.

Is this normal? Can dealers choose which vehicles they want to include for Xplan pricing and which ones they won't?

I was able to use X Plan on the truck I bought from a dealer. It was a special order that someone didn't want. Not sure if dealerships can choose accept X Plan or not, but it sounds like they're just trying to take advantage of the market.

According to the "Ford X-Plan Official Rules" - "Authorized Ford and Lincoln dealerships are encouraged, but not obligated, to participate in the New Vehicle Purchase Program."

When I was looking around, none of the 9 dealers I contacted would do X plan on inventory, but most of them were doing X plan on orders, so here I am waiting.

I had to drive 1000 miles to Montana to get X Plan on a truck off the lot.
