2023 Ordering Q’s

I’m looking to order a ’23 Limited PB and would like to get it sometime before the end of ‘22. I want all the “ deleted” features the ‘22s aren’t getting now.

1) Does anyone know if the ‘23 will be available with all features? * Side note ~ anyone know if they will do mid-cycle refresh (Wheels/grill etc)?

2) Do I wait til the order Books open for the ‘23s or place an order now for a ‘22 limited, and hope they blend me into a ‘23 MY Possibly with all features

Like I mentioned, I’m hoping to be in a new Limited By the end of the year and looking for best way to get that done

I think your best bet is to find people to bribe with influence on the Dearborn, MI production and shipping process. Not even kidding. Good luck my friend

Ryan is correct, 2022 Order banks closed on May 13th.

Yeah, It wouldn't make much sense to cut these features, then have them back available when they start building 23s in October. That's just 4 months away. Plus you'd probably just have people drop their not-yet-made 22s in July when the Order Guides came out showing everything back.

As stated, you couldn't order a 2022 if you wanted to.
You can't order a 2023 if you wanted to.

You CAN ponder with the rest of us on what/when will constraints end, but not one person could possibly know. But we can predict!

My personal predictions are far from focused, but rather safe and ambiguous. The "get it like you ordered it", especially higher trims, isn't going to suddenly be true when the 2023 order bank opens up in August(?).
But I do believe that it is possible that constraints improve during the 2023 production year, but not because of just good news. Instead, demand will start to decrease parallel to an economic slowdown that is already starting to be reluctantly acknowledged.

It's that time in the cycle and it's not like much is being done beyond buckling up for the ride.

To keep it on a positive note, I AM predicting that we're getting closer to ending the constraint nightmare.

If you keep your expectations real, you will stand a better chance of not being disappointed. If you are able to order a 2023 as soon as they open for orders, and you consider timely to be Q1 2023 you should be a happy camper. Keep us updated as this will be valuable information for many others in your position. Good luck with it all.

On a side note if Ford adds some kind of midnight orange as new for 2023 color I will just cry.

I'll admit that Divine intervention would indeed improve the odds for you.

I now realize that I might have been just such a beneficiary when I look out the window of my RV and see that sweet, just recently arrived, 2022 KingRanch Powerboost WITH every single option offered, including those with a chip in it, short of Park Assist.

It didn't exactly get built fast, but at my age those months are considerably shorter?

Hang in there. Make your order. If you can get a truck that makes you happy? Buy it.
If a constraint will steal your joy? Don't buy it.
Try as many times as it takes.

Funny when you are school kid the summers lasted a lifetime. Now I find myself saying things like something happened 3 or 4 years ago, only to find out 3 or 4 years ago was really 2007.

I feel the same way. My Platinum PB got in under the wire with everything but Parking Assist and I feel lucky and grateful. Hopefully I’ll see it by the end of the month so I my tonneau stops taking up storage space and I can pick up our new TT!

But I need the park assist aka “Party trick”…. Hopefully with china coming out of lockdowns all the party tricks will be back in the ‘23s
