Ordering a new truck

Hey Folks,
Just joined, great site for information. I am looking at ordering an XL supercab, 5.0 4wd 6+ box antimatter blue. I'm in the DFW area.

Questions:

Can you still order a 2024 in July?

Any recommendations for DFW dealers?

Any advantage going through fleet sales at a dealership?

Best advice I have is to get a quote from Granger Ford in Iowa BEFORE you get a quote from any other dealer.. You might be actually shocked how good it is. 4% below invoice on a order for a 2024 is just about unbeatable but it's important to also consider add-ons and dealership 'fees' .. Also Granger will sell you a Ford factory ESP at $50.00 over dealer cost and very very few dealerships are willing to give up the profit on that part of the deal. It might seem strange to make a deal with a out of state dealership and of course you will have to make a trip to your local tag office..and go to Iowa for delivery or arange transport to your front door but the savings can be TREMENDOUS...I have more time than money. On the cheapest F-150 Ford sells a 2 wheel drive XL regular cab I will save over $5,000.00 over any other dealership in Florida out the door. Even factoring in the expense of going to pick it up.
Edit: Many folks here on the forum make the trip or arrange delivery 'to there door' just because they do NOT want to go thru the insane processes/dance of negotiations many dealerships will willingly put you through to make the absolute most money they can possibly get from you..

Ive been waiting for 7 months, the truck has been built since March but there is a quality hold on many higher trim vehciles and they wont tell me what it is...I ordered a King Ranch in early January...still don't know when it will be done...if you are patient, tolerant of an information vacuum and sheer incompetence you'll be fine.

A XL supercab is a fairly simple build.. Your wait time will be about the same no matter what dealership you order from. If you have a trusted dealership locally (maybe family connection?) you might be ok but since you asked for recommendations it's a real crapshoot. Granger built a business plan to sell a incredibly large amount of trucks. Far far more than they could ever sell in a small town in Iowa. They made the process fast easy and fair. Lots of dealerships are now owned by 'Groups' that, even on a order, put a "pack" on each vehicle they sell... You pay that. It's easy to get a "Out the Door" price from Granger..Good luck getting THAT number in Dallas. And I'm not just talking about stupid things like window tint, fabric 'protection' and obvious ripoffs like that. Administrative fees that are built-in can easily add a thousand bucks or more. The only real downside is you have to go to your tag office about 2 weeks later and pay the taxes Granger collected then sent to you.. That IS a hassle but when you understand the steps and process it's no big deal.. just different.

FYI I assume you’re planning on buying and not leasing?Granger does not do out of state leases.

Fellow DFW person here who ordered from Granger. I bought in 22 so the market was still stupid. I drove my trade up (a great offer on it, btw), spent the night, and drove my truck back.

Ford says call the dealer. Dealer says call Ford. As they were blaming the dealer, I asked Ford marketing “escalation” team member if they would hold so I could conference in the dealer and they said they would hang up. They can’t talk to the dealer…especially with me on the line.

Those 2 are the best I could find...then I found a 24 exactly the way I wanted with 360 miles and $5000 in accessories at a great deal. So I bought the used one.
