Asking for opinions, do I paint body color or install them in matte black? Heres your chance. Let me have it. Going to install a set of Redrock flares. These only extend out about an inch. What do you think? Paint or Not? Truck is 21 Race Red Supercrew. If anyone has pics I’d love to see ‘em.

My truck in my photos, and if you search my posts you can find better photos, are painted RedRock fender flares, and it looks amazing. It's so subtle it just looks like OEM body panels. I have wheel spacers to give the nice filled out look.
I love the look! It's not too much, it's just perfect.

IMO the 1" flares don't do a whole lot especially if you have a wider aggressive tire. You'll still get rocks and mud.

I’m not a fan of fender flares either and once you drill those fenders for fasteners you are stuck with them. I see them on older trucks around here mostly because owners are hiding corrosion. If you must install them then color matched should look better, especially on that truck.

Nice truck BTW, the red looks nice.

Do you plan on going with a wider tire or different offset rim? Otherwise those fender flares (even slight ones) will bury those tires in the wheel well.

I dig the color, too. But if you do go with them on that color, I'd paint them.

Awesome looking truck. I have spacers coming. What thickness did you use? Thanks

Here's mine. Of course it's all about personal choice but I'm happy with mine in matte black. Mine are the Redrock OE style...about 1/2". To me it's the perfect balance with the rest of the black.

I installed the Bushwacker on my E250 and had it sprayed with LineX. It was hard to part ways with that van!

I didn’t put the in my f-150 but they came painted over black on a truck in the past and getting mountain pin strips and rock chips from others driving on the highway they looked terrible in a few years. The black plastic ones on my 18 Denali 2500 I just put shine juice on them and they look new again. By the way that has to be one of the coolest factory paint choices in the F-150 it’s really bold. Good hunting, shop now and save a few bucks on the Black Friday deals.
