Anyone have this happen? Went out to my truck at lunch and there is no sound out of the front left speaker (woofer or tweeter). This is the base XLT audio system. I'd like to avoid a trip to the dealer, but it seems like a head unit issue.

Have you tried switching sources (XM to phone and back for example); I have had this happen several times- including to a single speaker- and then back to full stereo....I even had the volume stop working on the feed from my phone altogether but was able to restore full audio by switching sources- and then back. Not ideal -but its infrequent- and seemed to start with the 4.2.2 update for me. I think others on here have experienced similar issues as well....

I did try different sources and I turned the radio off and back on and neither made a difference. When I fade it all the way to that corner I only hear the front center speaker. No tweeter or woofer.

With your VIN, I can check and DTC codes your truck is recording.

Hi there. Can you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this for you.

Starting this morning all channels are working correctly. Yesterday I had the truck off for a minute and opened the door to completely turn the radio off and it still didn't work out the LF speaker.

Sounds like the left front speaker not working at all is somewhat common. When it happens it's always that speaker and it doesn't seem to be tied to one particular radio as the messages I saw talked about the b&o sound system which I don't have

I’ve had this issue. Seems to be intermittent and varies. Sometimes it’s just with CarPlay, sometimes all sources. But usually after turning the vehicle completely off and then back on it fixes the problem

I've had this happen to me before while using Apple carplay. Turning the radio off and on fixes my issues.

I'm seeing the rear driver's door speaker doing this on an 8-speaker B&O - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. If I park the truck and go back to it later it usually works again. It seems like an amp or DSP thing, so I'm wondering if you see any codes or updates - 1FTFW1ED0PFD04544

Thanks!

No OTA in queue and no relevant DTC codes being reported by your truck. Maybe a loose connection at the speaker?

I actually pulled the door panel off and checked that. Everything's connected perfectly and the wiring looks to be in good shape without any kinks or anything. It's weird, it'll have no sound for one drive then I'll park the truck and come back and it works fine for the next drive.

Yea, that is mighty strange. Unfortunately, I don't see anything with what I have that can help you pin-point the problem.

My truck has the left side not working every once in a while when I start it and restarting the truck fixes it. I had a service loaner that also did the same thing one morning.

This happened again this morning and I actually think I'm losing two speakers when this happens - the center and the rear driver's door. I did a DSP walk-around test and I get nothing out of speaker 1 or 2 - all the others work. Anyone know what the speaker numbers correspond to on the 8-speaker B&O?

This would actually be kind of good news because it points firmly to something other than the speakers themselves, like a software thing or a bad DSP. Need to figure out a time to make a dealer appointment.

Incidentally, the system actually sounds better without the center channel. It makes me wonder if this is more widespread and people just aren't noticing it.

I bought a 3-day pass to PTS out of curiosity and found this - guess there's no point in visiting the dealer for now:
