I thought my 4Runner would outlive me. Well that didn't work out so well. So I'm shopping for a new ride and decided I'm going to treat myself to a F150 Powerboost, Pro Power 7.2 kw. I figure I can charge up those off road power chairs my buddies think are cool and keep their beers cold! Anyway, I've been studying up on this 2023 ordering thing and put together what I want.

Does this look good? What should I pay for it? If I hit up the kids at a few dealers this weekend ( labor day ), is there any deals I should know about? Can I lock in a APR if I order this weekend? Chapman Ford isn't too far from me - anybody know them?

For the most part, that is the exact same build of the 22 PB I just bought in Ox White. Got it with Xplan pricing too. Absolutely love the truck.

The sound system in the XLT leaves a little to be desired when coming from the B&O but nothing some after market speakers and a few other things won't fix.

Thanks 780. I thought the tailgate step was part of the bed utility package? Yeah, I do tow - small trailer. I thought about tow mirrors, but thought aftermarket if I feel I need them? I don't need them now with my 4Runner/trailer combo.

Tow mirrors are very expensive especially with the 360 camera function. Then you'd have to worry about finding a buyer for your stock mirrors to make up the difference. I'd highly suggest if you want tow mirrors to take advantage of the $250 or so upcharge from the factory. That felt like a steal to me. I hardly tow, I just like big mirrors to be honest but like I said for just $250 more... think about it to save some work in the future.

Not saying you need tow mirrors but if you felt like it was a upgrade you would do in the future I wanted to point that out. I think you would be spending a lot more going the aftermarket route.

I paid $100 over invoice and mine was 58 drive out, so pretty close to your build.

Just a note about the tow mirrors. They are outstanding, big and a steal at $250. However before you add them you should look at some youtube vids of F 150's that give an indepth walkthrough of the truck. A few had the tow mirrors and just a couple gave you a driverside view looking out. If you want to see behind you they are outstanding. However they will block a lot of the side vision due to their size. Once I saw how much they blocked and couple with the fact I will not tow much, I had to pass on them. Make sure you are OK with this before you order and if you are OK with it, they are a steal.

Interesting Kodiak. I decided to check with my "dream trailer" group - Oliver Trailers

The consensus among that group is they prefer regular mirrors and turn on rear camera on trailer if needed. I really would like to see them in person. Perhaps this weekend I will.

Ahh, the good old days when my investments were making more than loan rate.

After I get this deal done, you guys got to help me figure out how to carry all the toys!

Nice rig! Trust me, if you tow that camper a bit, you will appreciate the tow mirrors. We tow a NuCamp Tab 400 with our F150, and the views with the mirrors are phenomenal (compared to the standard mirrors on the '19 Ranger we had.) The "blind spots" with the mirrors are not much to consider if you have even the slightest mobility in your neck and head to sneak a peak prior to proceeding through an intersection (I thought everyone did this anyway). I know our vehicles have BLIS, but I'm not much into trusting technology merging into traffic on freeways at 70mph....

Thanks sbreech and you’re probably right. I have towed that thing a bit. NJ to California, Northwest, Canada a few times, throug PEI down to Florida a few times and short trips to Assateague and Acadia. Prolly why my 4Runner differential is making such odd sounds. Mirrors haven’t been an issue, but I don’t have any comparison. I usually just tell my white-knuckled wife, “They’ll get out of my way!”

We love the T@Bs every time we see one! Hope to see you in my big tow mirrors some day!!
