SonarChief, what did the dealer say about your PowerBoost's OLM running out so quickly?

I've had my 2024 PB for 6 months and have 13,900 miles on it. Been having the dealer change it every 5,000 miles. Last oil change was 10,250 miles. Never had an OLM warning run to 0%, then the oil life went to 0% after 2,500 miles of normal driving. Oil level and color were good. Thought the tech may not have reset it, so reset it myself. Today, the OLM warning with 0% life went off again after 1,200 miles. Oil level and color still good. This doesn't make sense unless there is a sensor going bad or there is an error in the OLM calculation. The only noticeable change in performance is the warmer weather has improved the hybrid gas mileage with 26.5 mpg over the last week. Still have 1,000 left before the dealer's sticker says to bring it in.

Thanks in advance for comments/suggestions.

I place no confidence in these monitors. I take oil samples around every 5,000 miles and change oil when the sample results say to. Turns out to be something like every 10-15,000 miles.

I'm certainly learning not to trust the F-150's OLM. Reflecting more after I posted is how my increased mpg in my PowerBoost has correlated with decreased oil life. Lots of highway mileage the first 10K. Now more 60 mph and less with in-town driving plus the warming temperature (improved battery performance) the mpg has gotten even better as I mentioned. I'll keep track of oil life as I wait to take it in at 15K for the next oil change.

Do those of you that change by mileage, do you change by 5,000 mile of the engine running or 5,000 miles on the odometer

I do 5k on the odometer because it is an easy number to watch even though I track it all in a spreadsheet.

It seems like those first couple of times is when the oil life ran like a watch in a Time Machine. Since then, it seems far more as expected, even though I have it changed at 5k miles anyway IAW my Ford Maintenance plan.

I dont follow Fords change intervals either...changed it myself with mobile 1 synthetic a few weeks ago and reset the oil life...twice.....within 500miles its at 58% when it clearly said 100% for a couple days

I have a PowerBoost. I use straight odometer mileage. The rationale is that since there are start-stops going on, they are a bit more stressful in the wear & tear world. So it all ends up same-same.
