Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but do you have any update on this? My ‘23 Rattler does the same thing, and I’m just wondering if this is a normal 14th Gen thing or not.
I also have a pop/clicking while using the brake pedal. I have a 22 F150 with the coyote and heavy payload package. Every time I use the brakes I hear and feel the noise. My dealership mechanic says he does not know what is causing the noise but says the brakes appear to be working properly. Im pretty sure there should not be any noise like this from the pedal. I will try to attach a video. Any help would be great because the noise is very annoying.

I only hear and feel it in the pedal only in "emergency" breaking, a quick and forceful break, like when you approach a green light, think you'll make it and then it changes to yellow/red and you have to stop. Under normal breaking I do not hear or feel it.

Ok the braking system on the new trucks are not your old style master cylinder and vacuum assisted brake booster. The system now is all electric and uses a electric hydraulic pump or some sort of electric actuator to create the boosted pressure. The pump may actually just be the abs but i dont know enough about the system to say for sure. i think what you are hearing is normal and is just the pump/actuator adjusting for the pressure being called for by the pedal.

Thank you for helping. I get that brake systems are changing. Everything is going computer and electronic. And with this system I do expect some noise. I don’t think a pop or click should be normal. To me that’s something Getting hung up. I hope I never find out it’s wrong but I think they should look into it a bit better with it being probably the most important thing in a vehicle for safety.

I had mine do the same thing until one day ABS, check engine and all bunch of other failures popped up on my dash. It was then a daily occurrence and sometimes multiple times a day. It is currently at the Ford dealer getting the Electric Brake Booster replaced. Hopefully will have it back by end of week. Also, test drive a new 2023, you will notice there is no clicks, pops or any noises from the break pedal. I test drove a new Powerboost and it did not exhibit these issues

Thank you so much for the info. I will bring that up with my service advisor. I have a camper trip coming up and don’t want that to happen in the mountains. They did go test drive new trucks and same year as mine and no noise from them. But they still said nothing else could be done. Hopefully your info will change that. Thank you again.

Hey there. I can look into your F-150’s noise concerns on my end if you’d like. Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info?
I have a new 23 powerboost that I have had for 2 months, the same issue with a pop, at 1500 miles it started. I am concerned about the noise, it only happens on first brake pedal application for startup after the vehicle has gone into a sleep shutdown state. My 21 powerboost did not have this issue, I am afraid the dealer is not going to have any clue or direction. Is this this popping a normal condition or is there potential issue??
