Following, as I too have noticed that right around 4000 miles it started. Which was right after my first oils change. I am at nearly 15,000 miles now, and going for my 2rd oil change, and it is still present.

My f250 did it for 9yrs. The slightest pressure until it clicked and the brake lights would turn on.

Maybe it's normal and the brakes are functioning as they're supposed to. Just my thought.

Hello, Lee! Send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your local Ford dealer. I’d be happy to see what I can do to assist with this noise concern. Thanks!

Did anyone find out the cause? My truck just started making the clicking noise while braking at any speed over 15mph. Truck is just over 8k

I had a similar situation with my '22. I posted about it here, but I forgot to update the thread, so I'll just respond here.

This was my original thread https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/odd-sound-coming-from-behind-dash.10561/#post-219757

That said, I brought it to the dealer, and there were 2 things happening, not sure how related they were to the sound I was hearing, but after fixing them the problem went away.

The first was a loose bracket behind the instrument cluster. Not sure exactly where or what it was, but they tightened it up, and had to remove the cluster to do so.

The second issue was a loose tie rod end from the factory. It was so loose and moving around that it rounded off the threads and they ended up replacing the entire thing, and doing an alignment. I think the alignment issue was what got me to bring it into the dealer, not sure if this was part of the noise.

My issue didn't seem to occur with braking, but it always happened approximately 15 min after starting a drive cycle (ie driving) the sound wasn't outrageously loud, but it was driving me insane.

After those repairs all is great again. It took them over a week to figure all of this out and get the repair done, thankfully my dealer has a great loaner program.
