No GPS signal and BC/ACC not working

I very frequently get this symbol on the ford navigation system. I noticed that whenever it does it, I cannot use blue cruise or even ACC. It will also say lane keeping not available when it happens. There is no pattern as sometimes it happens for a couple minuted and other times it will stay that way for a couple days. I live in the Houston area where the signal should always be good so I don't think that's the reason. Anyone else experience this?

The new trucks pull GPS from the TCU. Your TCU may need to have the TRON encryption authenticated. If it had an Update it causes the TCU to have issues.

Id have to have the vin to see if the TCU has the missing authentication code

You had a TCU update Feb 20

Does that seem to coincide with the issue starting?

You have the authentication codes I mentioned..

That sounds about right. Thank you again. What do I do to fix it? Ive been driving myself crazy messing with every possible combination of settings, washing the truck thinking the cameras were dirty, shutting it off & restarting it, etc

Dealer needs to run the TRON authentication.
Only solution is with FDRS.

Very much appreciated! I will take it by the dealer and give them this information. When I did that before they just said it needed a software update and should work now (it didn't). Crazy how this forum is so much more helpful than the Ford dealership.

mine did the same thing a couple weeks ago. I lost all communication to and from the truck. GPS, wifi, FordPass, etc. I also had an update Feb 20. I ended up disconnecting the battery for 20 mins. It’s been fine ever since.

If you have no success with the dealer I have FDRS and “think” I can run TRON for you. We can try anyway.

You can. It will error out at the end BUT it will correct it.

If that doesn't work, you will need a new TCM. I've just been through this exact scenario. Lost Nav, BC, Lane centering, FordPass... Bought a TCM on eBay to check in between dealer appointments- plugged it in and everything came back again. Dealer is ordering a new TCM for me after jumping through the Ford warranty hoops.

***Update***

Truck was in the dealership for 3 weeks. They tried updating it, didn't work. Tried replacing the wiring, didn't work. They were going back and forth with Ford about replacing the TCU but the Ford engineers insisted it did not need a new one and that it was something else. Today they called me and said it was something with the coding used for the updates and they now have 8 vehicles with the exact same problem. Truck's ready but I'm at work so I can't pick it up until tomorrow.

Only plus was the dealership was nice enough to give me a bad ass '25 Expedition as a loaner. The base model seemed to have almost all the bells and whistles as my '24 Platinum 702a minus the ventilated seats.
