I enabled Ford's wired trailer TPMS in my '21 Job 1 XLT by replacing the rear wiring assembly to fully populate the 12-pin connector, updated all software with FDRS and made edits with FORScan. The truck now recognizes the trailer TPMS and displays the PSI values. I don't have temp display which I believe is related to having an analog, rather than digital, instrument panel.

Programming the TPMS sensors works and includes setting the alert level. Unfortunately, the alerts don't work. I get nothing, despite the alert level being set well above the displayed PSI.

What do I have to do to get alerts? Are there settings I can change with FORScan, other than those required to display the information?

If the alert level is over your current psi how do you know the alert doesn't work?

Set alert lower than current and let some air out of a tire and see if you get an alert then.

Setting it higher was just my trying to make it do something, anything.

I didn't let air out after setting the alert lower than current PSI. I didn't think of that being a requirement. I'll try that when I'm hooked up again.

Can't hurt to try is my thought. If it still doesn't work then I would say it is definitely broken. You might need someone in the cab to see if an alert pops up on screen.

I'm not sure "broken" is the right description. I think it's user error in my attempts to enable it with FORScan.
