THe alarm in my ,22 Lariat won't stay off. I can turn it off and as soon as I lock the door and close it it resets. This makes it annoying to take my dog anywhere and leave her in the truck...10 seconds after I get out the alarms going off.
It doesn't matter if I turn it off with th e engine running of just with accessory active and engine off. I can turn it off just before I get out and it resets as soon as I get out.
Has anyone had this issue or have any ideas other than using the "ask me during departure" option???
Thanks

Have you turned off the motion sensors under Settings - Vehicle - Alarm System - Motion Sensors?

What Paul said. This is a pain that Ford feels they need to parent and control.
I take Max with me almost everywhere I go and times I need to leave him in the truck for 5 mins I just leave it unlocked.
Every 30 days or so, Ford overrides my wishes that Paul pointed out and my truck starts going off again. It's about as ret@___ed as the backup beepers on my Powerboost. Apparently all Hybrids have to have em. But nothing more annoying than creeping your boat or jetskis back into the lake and everyone darting eyes on you cuz of the beeping...
:(

(I really do need to buy that bypass thing)

The default setting resets itself frequently. My pup alerts me of this as he trips the motion alarms, and then I change the setting. I think its about every few weeks. Annoying.

I've done pretty well turning the motion sensor off as previously stated. I do have to respond if I am leaving Biskit in the truck but hasn't been too much of a pain as I got used to it. That said, I am not leaving her in the truck and locking it very often.

Yes. Many times and it just doesn't stay. It defaults to on when ever I turn the truck off.

I wish it was every few weeks...mine does it every time I turn the truck oof...or lock the doors. I am not sure the exact trigger.

This could have been an issue for months but if it's over 60 I don't leave her in the truck...now that it's cooler she can do more errands with me.

Do you by chance have the child in the back seat reminder set to on also?

No.
Which brings up a question.
If you need to be reminded to look in the backseat for your kids are you responsible enough to have them?
I never forget I have my dog with me much less my offspring.
