Add Device not an option in BlueTooth

I'm trying to add a device (MP3 player) using bluetooth. I follow instructions in the owners manual and "add a device" is not an option. Anyone else having this issue or have ideas on what the problem might be?

When you add a device, they have to communicate with each other and a code is sent between them for you to confirm. The MP3 can not respond to the code so they are not connecting.

You will be able to connect MP3 player if it has USB port and cable.
