I placed a reservation the day after announcement, with the hopes of buying a Pro with no options. It seems like that may not have been possible. I finally have a chance to order, and the only cars available are $75k and up.

I'm still interested in a Pro even with the $8k price raise, but will they ever build any of these things again?

When tesla came out with the model 3, they promised a starting price in the 30k range. I don't know that any of those were ever built, or very few were. Tesla gave priority to the higher trim cars because it made them more money. With the way the logistics issues and parts shortages are, I wouldn't hold my breath
