Thanks, that's a helpful document.

Definite No's (for me) : moonroof, tailgate step, FX4, max trailer tow, 20" wheels, bed accessories (but will probably do after purchase...) Everything else is pretty minor.

Only 6 lbs for the power sliding rear window? Hmmmm.....
Except for the moonroof I have all those on my XLT.... but power rear window and bed accessories are included in 302a in Canada. But, I skipped PowerBoost to compensate.

Try this. There may be a newer version.
This is the best document that I could find to try to dial in my Payload estimate figures. The 2022 version removed the options section listing all of the individual weights, so I had to default to this 2021 version when I ordered my 2022. My estimate was off by about 70 lbs from the yellow sticker, which I'm attributing to the few instances of "TBD" listed for weights (particularly the wheels/tires section). I haven't looked to see if they've released a 2023 version.

Planning to order new SCREW, 4x4, 7.2kw, XLT, 6.5’ bed, but I will be towing a yet to be purchased travel trailer. The payload discussion has me very concerned and I cannot find any summary of option package weights or what to expect, besides something around 1500 pounds or less. Very angry at Ford for removing HDPP from XLT. Makes no damn sense, since many who buy POwerboost with 7.2kw will likely tow. Target wet trailer weight is around 8K.

options I would like:
302A
Bed Utility package (getting old and need easy access to bed)
Max Tow
360 camera

anyone have a similarly optioned truck that can provide Payload, if something is missing or extra on your truck please let me know.

I do not want the XL. My wife wants the heated seats, exterior key pad and other features that are not available on XL.
Thanks.
I had ordered a 2022 powerboost crew cab 4x4 with the shorter bed and no bed utility package and was getting a travel trailer for the same reasons, to power the trailer when boondocking, etc. and was searching all over the internet trying to figure out the same things you are. I can share my experience. I got the truck, payload is 1490, less than I was expecting, since I tried to keep heavy options down to a minimum (I think its the dang hybrid battery that hogs your payload number). I did get the max tow package, tow mirrows, and onboard scales. I ended up getting a 31ft Winnebago Voyage 2730RL, the dry weight is 7200 or so, and the hitch weight is 820 if I remember right. We also have a 2500 diesel chevy, so it worst came to worst we could pull it with that, but that defeats the whole purpose right?! I needed a trailer that the powerboost can tow. So....after getting a husky centerline ts weight distribution hitch I will tell you this truck pulls this trailer like a beast with no issues. It feels like its not even trying. I am so impressed and pleased with the setup. With the soft start on both ac's and the proper dogbone, the truck runs the entire 50amp camper (there are a few caviats, like if you turn on something that draws a lot like the fireplace heat or slide motor, you have to turn the ac off first. Just common sense stuff while plugged into the truck.) The rig is completely level in every regard (took me a while to set up the hitch just perfect but im OCD like that). I even brought it to the weight scales and I am within all the legal limits. I will say this-this setup is probably on the heavier side of the what the truck can handle safely meaning I wouldnt go any bigger (heavier) than what I have. 60mph is the comfortable tow speed. Oh, and the 2inch level kit I put on the front end of my truck made the onboard scales not work and no one seems to be able to tell me what to do to fix it, but overall I am happy with the truck and it does pull the trailer that I was unsure of until I was able to test it all out.

Have you taken it to a dealer? Curious as I have OnBoard Scales and a 2" level.

Just got the level in November so haven't checked to see if it affected my scales.

That is what I have. Very helpful, but not all inclusive.
Seems like Ford could do better

I did, one dealer said they wouldn’t touch it due to liability issues and another dealer tried but said there was one setting of several that wouldn’t recalibrate on their computers. They emailed ford, ford said to remove my level kit. It just stays on zero now when you apply weight to the bed. If you get yours fixed please let me know how.

is your inclination meter off by chance? The one that shows your elevation / side slope / steering angle?

I took delivery of my truck last week. Payload is 1569 lbs. I was hoping for 1600, but this is pretty close. With that said, a spray-in bed liner is not included in these numbers, so I will probably be closer to 1500 - 1525 when finished.

I purchased XLT 302A Sport App, 4WD, PB, 7.2kw, Trailer Tow (not max), TT mirrors, B&O, work surface, 360 cameras, bed utility.

My TT is 26’ Winnie Micro Minnie, 7K GVWR, 4500 dry. It is just me and my wife, so this is plenty of room. Given we want to travel for weeks at a time, I wanted to ensure enough payload capacity to allow us to be fairly independent, including bringing extra water and fuel for our boondocking trips.

very happy with the truck so far. I have not towed yet. It is too cold here and I will wait until the Spring to de-winterize

Was it 70 lbs in your favor, or worse? Kind of sizable discrepancy.

I was hoping that it would be around 1900, and the yellow sticker is 1831. In the grand scheme of things, 70 lbs is fairly insignificant—most tonneau covers weigh more than that.

UGADawg96 posted the correct guide I was referring to in my post. I thought it was called something else. This will give you weights on options.
Curious- where can the Ford options guide be found?
Is this something the dealer has with weights?
I explained my goal with 3 dealers (1fleet manager) and no one offered this resource.
I only have the 2021 Ford tow information with some option weights.

Shoot. Your post was making me excited and then I saw you have a 4x2. 4x4 adds a whopping 312 lbs to the truck, directly out of the payload. Ouch.

Would a lightly optioned XLT 4x4 screw 6.5' really fall under 1500 lbs? I really want the hybrid fuel economy and power, plus the 7.2kW... but this payload is borderline unacceptable.

I am tempted to get one anyway, stuff airlift 5000s in the rear, and ignore the payload rating. But I'm trying to buy a truck to do 10+ years of family camper hauling, occasional equipment hauling on my 10k trailer, lumber and materials hauling, and daily driving. Losing 5 mpg to do this in a regular 3.5eb would be sad. ugh, what to do.

:) That's WHY I have a 4x2. I wanted a powerboost for the generator, I wanted 1800+ lbs payload to pull the trailer and carry my family of 5, and I wanted a 4x4 for the added capabilities. In the end, I could really only get 2 out of those 3, so I chose to sacrifice the 4x4. I rarely use that capability in my expedition, so I haven't really missed it...yet.

It *REALLY* depends upon which options you choose, even if you're limiting your option choices. The Bed Utility package and the sunroof are each more than 60 lbs on their own. Large wheels and/or tires will also likely be a big hit to payload. Other options, like 360 cameras or options that are primarily added sensors, probably won't weigh much at all.
