New F150 Max Tow arrived today!

The new F150 came in today. I pick it up from the dealer Friday. The telescoping mirrors don’t work half the time so they are looking at that. Besides that I couldn’t find any issues. It doesn’t shift as smooth as my 2011 Silverado but I guess that’s the nature with these new transmissions from what I read. Maybe it will smooth out.

Nice truck, but you didn't get any factory rust on the rear axle. Nice to see Ford finally stopped shipping NEW trucks with rust on them.

Nice truck! Looks almost like mine, I picked up Monday and am on a meandering road trip back to Texas.

Same telescoping issue. Sales told me to turn the truck on/off and after that it moved in one direction once. She said she's seen that issue recently and, "hopes it will work itself out", and seemed to think it would-given other's experience.

I had it in a barn for 2 days whilst I visited family in Iowa and when I left this morning it seemed to work well when the mirrors were folded in. Both mirrors telescoped in and out multiple times. Weird. I'm not gonna mess with it until I get home in about a week because they are set where I want rn.

I had that mirror issue on my 2022, but the 2025 has been great, so far so good

Thanks for that info! I'm glad to know its a common issue so hopefully they can fix easily enough. I'll let you know what they tell me Friday. My dealer told me it was a one-off. Said all their F250's go in and out all day long. But who knows! Thanks again!

Looks sharp, can you post a pic of the window sticker?

I'd love to see a pic of the end of a rear axle (pop-off center cap) showing a from-the-factory Max Tow axle nut instead of an axle bolt.

Hi Buyer2021! Sure! Window Sticker attached. Also, I do plan to very soon purchase "real" lug nuts, and black ones at that - haha! I'll get a pic of the axle soon. It may be a bit but I will get it as I also want to confirm its a real nut vs the shear bolt.

EDIT - I was curious how your payload was 1800+lbs vs. my 1715lbs, but then I remembered our cabs are different so maybe that's why.

EDIT - I just noticed you said "pop off center cap". Ah, I assumed the wheel had to come off. I'll try to get the pic soon!

Yeah, the same 145" WB but my cab is shorter / bed is longer, 3.5EB vs 5.0, and I didn't get factory bed-liner, but otherwise our trucks are very similar ....

BTW, I added the Ford Accessory Trailer cam + TPMS after purchasing the truck, really love that system!

I did order it, the camera/TPMS kit per your advise . It is supposed to be in a box in the service dept, along with my bed tie downs. I asked them to not install anything!

I had the telescoping mirror intermittent issue on my 21 PB. Since I bought it used, I’m on an extended warranty with $100 deductible. Instead of paying that, I just bought a new switch and replaced the switch in the door myself. It was an $32 part and only took about 5 minutes of time. It has worked every single time I’ve tried it since.

90% sure it will be an Escape 5.0 camper (same as Buyer2021). It’s a 4000 dry (5500 gvwr) fiberglass fifth wheel. 10% chance it will be an Escape ‘23 which is a conventional tow fiberglass camper at 4600 dry (6000 gvwr).

Ease of towing and getting into small camp spots is important to me (as well as head room) so the Escape 5.0 will most likely win out.

No regrets about mine, it's a great match for an F150, tows like a dream (though prices sure have gone up on both parts of the rig since I bought!)

my payload is 1638lbs damn moon roofs are heavy... and so is the PAT... it takes the same amount of payload as the moon roof.

as of a couple months ago my 25 and others still had the old max tow axels, i am not sure how ford can get away with only stoping the recall at 2023 models when 24 and 25 still have same part...
