The headlights are cool, I'd also like to see some tailights that keep the sensor

? not sure about the bed scales. I originally had a lariet high ordered that would have had the projector LEDs and I did not spec the bed scales so there must be something else that they use to do the leveling.Diode Dynamics makes some amazing stuff. They are rather proud of that too and it shows in their pricing. Nit picky complaints aside, the DD lights are supposed to be plug/play to the BI-LED harness. Much easier than upgrading to the OEM projectors that requires an adapter harness and some Forscan coding. On top of that if you don't have bed scales on your truck the auto leveling won't work unless you add the leveling sensors all associated wiring too. Oh can't forget there's coding for them too.
I considered upgrading mine with the DD lights but the price is rather steep for me. I am curious if there's any differences in the Lariat 501A and XLT 302A Bi-LED housings.![]()
This is a whole other thread worth of a question & responseIf available from the OEM, why not just buy the truck already equipped with what you want, rather than have to pay for something you don't want just to have to pay and upgrade it and be stuck with the OEM lights you didn't want and neither does anyone else making them worthless and money double spent. Just saying.... something to think about.
Fairly certain that the bed scale system and auto leveling system use the same sensors that are attached to the suspension. Without those installed and coded the auto leveling will not work. It's not the end of the world if they don't, but may be problematic when towing or have a bunch of weight in the bed.? not sure about the bed scales. Yeah I have no real world idea. Just know how I ordered it. But if that was the case it would be easy maybe for a guy to use forscan to add the on board scales if they had the projectors from factory. ?Fairly certain that the bed scale system and auto leveling system use the same sensors that are attached to the suspension. Should be, but there may be a different set of tails as well for the scales since they give a visual indicator as well.Yeah I have no real world idea. Just know how I ordered it. Onboard scales and auto-leveling do use the same height sensors. But you get height sensors on your truck with auto leveling headlights, even if you don't get bed scales.Fairly certain that the bed scale system and auto leveling system use the same sensors that are attached to the suspension. Digging through PTS, it appears that the leveling system uses a front and rear ride height sensor on the left side only. There are only RH ride height sensors on vehicles with CCD and/or scales. The CCD has the ride height sensor built into the shock, whereas non CCD trucks with LED projectors have a ride height sensor attached to the frame.Fairly certain that the bed scale system and auto leveling system use the same sensors that are attached to the suspension. You beat me to it lolOnboard scales and auto-leveling do use the same height sensors. But you get height sensors on your truck with auto leveling headlights, even if you don't get bed scales.
In fact, there are 2 different rear height sensors available, depending on if you get CCD, as well. With CCD, the rear height sensors are imbedded in the shock cover. Without CCD, the rear height sensors are lever-type, similar to the front height sensors.
This is the rear height sensors for CCD/Scales
I don't have a picture of the other rear height sensor option, but I'm sure someone else can post one.
