MY23 Shipping Yet?

As you can see from my signature, I had a 2023 KR on order and dropped it when my dealer had a SQ 22 Platinum come available. Now the dealer kept my order in the system (without telling me) and dropped some items so they could use it as additional inventory. That said, I still get the updates from Ford. The truck was built on 11/9 and was originally supposed to be delivered by 11/28. Got an email bumping delivery to by 12/15. Tracker says it is still awaiting shipment. So it sounds consistent with what you guys are seeing.

My order was only confirmed, but thanks to this forum I reached out to see where I was with the order process. Spray bed liner and wheel well liners also on constraint. Not sure why they couldn't separate bed liner and give a credit if other items in black out package were available.

I didn't even want the damn spray in liner. but if you have BAP and Max tow you have to have the silly Spray in.

Anyone have experience with changing their order prior to being scheduled to be built? Yesterday I changed my Lariat Trim to Platinum Trim, but was able to keep the same original order date. The switch was due to some constraints and once that occurred I just went in a different direction. Dealer says the order was accepted, but no email update, is that sound right?

I didn’t get any email updates when my order was updated for constraint issues.

Guess I got lucky with my order. Picked it up on the 9th fully optioned platinum powerboost with spray in bed liner.

you can change your order all you want until you get a VIN. at that point I believe you are locked in.

If your not locked into your build with your dealer and if you are paying MSRP you should definitly check out granger. could save $7k. also their builds seem to go smother. at least that was my experience switching from my local dealer on a MY22 build that got canceled by Ford. even with the price increase on MY23 I am still saving over $4k, and it is built pending shipment.

I didnt know about Granger until after I placed my order and stumbled on to this forum. if my dealer screws this up or cant get the truck I will be a Granger customer. in fact if my Wife wants to order a new Ford I will go thru them first. but since I am sort of close I will see what happens here

I’ve been looking at Grainger, and as someone else has posted if my dealer screws this up the 18 hour ride won’t seem so bad. Especially to save a few thousand since I am paying MSRP

OMG MSRP. Just send Granger an email with your build and ask for a quot. its as easy as that. and the benefit of a cross country road trip right out of the gate.

As long as you can swing it with your work you should absolutely give them a shot.

Why would they tell you? Dealer always takes the truck for inventory.

I’ve been online checking Granger out. They certainly are getting good reviews. It certainly worth taking the time to exchange some emails.
