2022 Platinum PB Max Tow.
This all started July 14th. I made it 35 miles from the dealership after picking up my new PB, stopped to get some eats and upon starting the vehicle a bunch of warnings started flashing on the screen. I called the salesman and he asked if I could get it to the nearest ford dealer which was 10 miles away. I made it there with no issues and the pick up drove like normal. He was able to meet me there with my old pick up (trade in) and I went on my way back home which was 160 miles away. We decided to leave it at that dealership due to not wanting to drive it any more. A couple days later they did a scan and saw a “low voltage alarm” which they cleared. Checked all batteries and alternator, everything checked out so I went back down (160 miles one way) to pick it up and immediately got the same warnings when leaving the lot. This time they hooked it up right away and said it was intermittent comms with the RCM(restraint control module) and they would order a new one. The good news is the part was only a 3-4 day wait which would’ve been today but it has not arrived as of yet. The dealer has been great about apoligizing and checking in on the situation. I’m putting this out there seeing if anyone else has had the same warnings and what was the fix for them? I really hope it’s just the RCM and I can have a problem free pick up for the next 5 yrs but my gut is not telling me the same. Thanks much!!
