Mongoose-Plus J2534 Use on Multiple Manufacturers

I noticed when I bought my mongoose plus on Amazon there were versions for other manufacturers on there. Mine identifies itself with Ford 2 after it when I connect to things and works fine with FDRS and Forscan. My question is can I use this on my friends GMC? It is supported by mongoose plus but do I need to get another adapter just for GMC or should this one work with the specific GMC software (TEch2Win, GDS2, and SPS). Thanks!

No, it won’t work on a GMC. If you want a single multi-format cable, you’ll need to upgrade to a Supergoose.
