The only DTC's being recorded by your truck are below:Well there's a few, the first is the screen freezing on startup(this one is totally random) sometimes when unlocking it, the interior lights and dash won't light up until I start the truck, and the headlights have stayed on after locking the truck until I turn them off manually(I usually keep the switch on auto, but when this happens, none of the lights on the switch itself are lit up, but it will chime with the door open that the lights are on) The last one hasn't happened for a while....so maybe that one was just a fluke. Either way, the dealer can't duplicate any of it, so they understandably won't do anything to fix what they can't see. I also have an issue with the rough transmission downshifting and a pop/clunk in the rear axle to go with it. I like the truck a lot, but these issues sure are annoying considering it's a "gold certified pre owned" Whats even more frustrating is that I am a dealer tech myself(not for Ford, so I have limited access to information that would help in figuring this thing out) so any help I can find here is GREATLY appreciated!
Your truck is fine. The last recorded OTA was back in April, but because it was over 60 days ago, I can't see details as to which one it was. Your truck being a 2023 was built with a lot of the latest software already, so you aren't due many updates. While you are not completely up to date, the few updates you are missing are to prep the truck for future updates, so you aren't missing out on anything. Your truck is communicating fine with Ford's servers. You have nothing to worry about; you'll eventually get the few updates you are missing.Well if you don't mind checking and letting me know I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you very much. I live in a very small town and mainly wanted to be sure it communicates and is getting what it needs. Again thank you it's very much appreciatedYour truck is fine. Thank you so much for checking on that, and I'm going to look into that FORscan. It seems like just what I'm looking for. Thanks again for all of your help, I really do appreciate it!The only DTC's being recorded by your truck are below:

Being a tech, I would look into FORscan. It will allow you to perform many diagnostic procedures, module resets and calibrations, etc. You can reset the adaptive learning parameters for the transmission in your PCM to see if it helps with the shifting issues. You can try resetting the APIM by holding down the radio power button and forward seek buttons at the same time until the screen reboots to see if that helps in any way.
My pleasure. You'll need one of these for FORscan. The software itself is free to download and a license to use it is also free if you register in the FORscan forum.Thank you so much for checking on that, and I'm going to look into that FORscan.
