Would it be better to just get the seats from a truck that already has the heat/cool/massage instead of trying to convert an XL seat?
Most likely, you'd then have something to sell. The foam alone new would be ~$650 (another $150 or so for heating elements). You can get complete seats with questionable leather w/ wiring / fans / heaters / DSM etc... for 1-1.5k and sell your XL seats for ~$500. It all really depends on what's available on the market.

Furthermore for memory functionality, you need the motors that are on the lariat and up driver's seat.

Did you do seats with the memory function as well, or just the heat/cool/massage? By chance do you have a link to the process involved in making them work?

Yes I have memory working, I don't think I made a full write up. Bits and pieces here and there.
