Found a Ford dealer in lower Michigan that is adding $2000 to the MSRP because of the F150 being hard to get. There calling it Live Market Pricing.
Has anyone else notice this at any other dealer? Any 2021 F150 on there lot has the MSRP raised by $2000.

It’s a fairly common practice when vehicles are new and in high demand. Don’t know if I’ve ever seen a markup on an F150, but definitely saw markups on the Raptor and performance vehicles from other brands. Highest markup I’ve seen is $15,000.

Seeing a markup of $2,000 doesn’t surprise me with the supply constraints at the moment. Should you pay the markup...maybe not. But there may be someone who is willing to.

I know folks in the auto dealership business, and this year has been on fire, but trucks are what everyone is wanting to buy and the dealers just can’t get enough supply.

I hate that, but this will likely be the case nationwide for at least several weeks. Even when I ordered act in October, dealers in my area in Florida didn’t want to come down at all from MSRP.

Echoing what others have said, trucks are very hot on the market right now, and supply and production shortages are creating this pinch.

agreed, if you want a hot deal and are able to travel for it; check Granger Ford in Iowa

There are. You have to be willing to shop, though. Mine was hard to find.

Wow, I just ordered my truck this week and my dealer actually discounted it $3k off sticker for me which isn't a ton of money, but seems pretty good for a custom order. That plus the $2k in rebates on the XLT got me $5k of sticker in total (MSRP was $58,840, I paid $53,900).
