I just picked up a used 2021 F150 Supercab 6.5' bed with the max tow package. It also has the sport package with 18" wheels. The truck hasn't even hit 6k miles, but the OEM tires are starting to crack. I'm going to be hauling around a pressure washing skid with tanks in the bed, though when driving, the liquid weight will be minimized to mostly chemical only, not water. However, when parked, the buffer tanks would take on 100-125 gallons of water and be drained down most of the way before driving to the next job. I also tow, so I'd like to run a Load C or D tire understanding it's going to hurt the ride and fuel economy.
The truck is 2WD with the 5.0 and 3.73 gears and the locking 9.75" 3/4 float rear axle. Payload is just about 2,100 pounds. I am going to add air bags with internal bump stops and possibly install the HDPP rear leaf springs for more stability. The truck does have a 3 leaf pack stock. Yes, I know it doesn't change the GVWR. Anyhow, if anyone has a 2025 recommendation for a good LT tire that rides decent and is pretty quiet, I'm all eyes and ears. I don't want to go much larger than a 32.5" tire on the OEM 18" wheels since it's a 2WD.
I bought the truck Ford Gold Certified yesterday and noticed the cracking when it got delivered today, so the dealership may be helping me in some way to rectify this since it really should have received a new set of tires before being sold.
