My wife’s 17 Mazda does this. Not sure why the 21 Fords don’t. Especially on the higher trims. With all the other tech they have in them in all.Thank you sir. I kind of figured that would be the answer. My wife’s Tesla locks when you walk away and I was hoping the F150 done the same. '
The Mazda allows you to leave it unlocked when you want when you walk away if you wanted that setting. The tech is there and it’s fairly simple.Could it be that if you are using your truck on a job site you can leave it unlocked and walk away so that you can send someone to get something out of the truck without giving them the key? I hate having to give my keys to someone then trying to remember at the end of the day who has them.
I would sure like to have it because with my other vehicle having it, I forget to lock the truck and having to retrain. On my other vehicle I never used the buttons on the key fob and just kept it in my pocket. So now I use keypad to lock or my app when I really forget. I have been trying to figure out why they chose not to, the running boards go up when walking away. I'm sure it would annoy some people when working around the truck, as many do, but an enable option would be good.My wife’s 17 Mazda does this. Not sure why the 21 Fords don’t.
