Livernois Exhaust Review

Fiance got me the exhaust for my birthday last month, finally got around to putting it on, fairly simple to install , less than hour start to finish, I did cut the pipe in front and behind the stock , because either way I wasn't going back, plus it made it simple to turn pipe with a pipe wrench that connects to the resonator.

At 1st I thought it was quiet, however after driving a week, it's actually perfect, loud when needed , rumble when idling , sounds great WOT and best part, no DRONE at all.

I do not have tune put in yet , but I will soon. Still waiting to see if a recall will happen with the fuel pump. But anyone considering it , it's worth the 700+ price tag. Resonator is still in place , that's what I attribute the no drone to.

Does Livernios make an exhaust for the 2.7 eco? Exploring options but limited. I've listened to various manufacturer sound clips. Don't want the raspy rice burner sound!

Yes they do , it's same system I have just for the 2.7, YouTube it

So this system retains the factory resonator correct? Did you need a lift to get the rear "over the axle" pipe off or just cut it on the ground?

Resonator and associated pipe stay. On my 22 5.0 , they had a notch on the pipe/tab that turns and comes loose, I didn't do any of that , I cut it then used a big pipe wrench to spin it and came right out. It clears the axle etc just fine ...literally just start at the front and work your way back , as soon I got everything out , I took axle pipe and just laid it over the axle then I assembled from resonator back.....make sure to use some wd40 on the rubber /metal mount point anchors so the spikes slide clean. I tinker with shit, and from start to finish 1 hr....easy 1 beer job or if your married , you can make it last 6 beers

Sorry , no you do not need a lift , if you aren't keeping old exhaust , cut it out , just make sure you keep from the notch forward. Once you get under it , you will see how easy....I followed majority of instructions, but disassembling , I did it my way. I'll try to post some pics
