I'm looking to get a lift kit for my '22 Lariat FX4 with the ultimate goal of running 35's. I'm trying to determine what the best lift kit would be for me.

I'm thinking a 3" lift or so should do the trick. I realistically will not be off-roading enough for it to factor into the decision, so picking a kit with good ride quality on the road is really what I am looking for (AKA nothing overly stiff). Any thoughts or recommendations?

Thanks!

On my 2022 Platinum FX4 I ran a 2" ReadyLift with 285/65/20 KO2s, which were 34.5" (which is considered a 35). At 3" inches of lift, height will not be your problem. If you run 35x12.5x20 (also usually 34.5) the added width is typically the issue unless you add backspace through new wheels.

Thus, if you just wanna run 35s, go with 285/65/20 you will get the height with your kit. If you want 12.5" wide wheels AND 35s, then you will likely require more modifications either through new wheels, spacers or trimming.

Yeah, I have plans to get rims with appropriate backspacing and give me a bit of poke.

Just my opinion but the best bang for your buck with coil overs. Rough Country’s 6in lift kit would go perfect with 35’s! You get what you pay for. And the 2024 F-150 pictured in the link is running 35’s!

I'm running 6112/5160 on Raptor take offs 35x12.5x17 , no cutting or anything .
It was kind of close to the Control Arm , so i put 1/4 inch spacer. I have done a ton of off-roading last 18 months, zero issues. 2.5 level does the job of running 35's but you need a positive offset wheel . Zero offset i dont take works either. You need +15 or more .

☝This.

With a 2" leveling coilover on the front and NO trimming or air dam removal at all, I ran Nitto Recon 35 x 11.5 on the stock BAP 20" wheels with NO rubbing whatsoever. It's fairly well established that tire width and wheel offset (not tire diameter)is what requires the extensive anti-rubbing modifications on these trucks. You could probably run 37s on a stock suspension if the tire was narrow.

Really?!! You think I could squeeze a +12? That’s what my current wheels are.

It will be very close imo with postive 12. I believe the Raptor wheels are +34? So little more room under there. If you want I can text/PM you pics of my truck at full circle to see how close the crash bars.

I think I’m going to go 35/11.5, the 35/12.5 C Toyo AT3 is rated at 35psi max

I had Recon Grapplers on my 22 with just a 2" Level. Worked great. Only thing I did was zip tie the fender liner closer to the fender. I had 295/65R20 so 35.2x11.8 on stock wheels .

I plan on doing the exact same on my new truck.

I went with the Bilstein 6112 (Powerboost) on the front at the highest clip setting. 285/65/20 on a +20 offset wheel. I also installed the Readylift UCA's and I do get some rub on the rear crash bars in reverse, as well as very slight rub on the air dam in front depending on steering angle and compression of the suspension.

Most have chimed in on the area's of concern but we will give our .02 in the shortest version we can.

To run 35s comes down to a few things:
-Wheel specs (mainly offset)
-Tire specs (different treads can cause rubbing in different areas)
-Suspension set up

We have tested different variations of 35s on our Tremor. Every single variation we did; whether it be 285/75/18, 35x12.5x18, etc, we still had to adjust or in our case remove the crash bars in full. The closest fit we had that we MAY have been able to get out of cutting the bars and just pushing forward/backward would have been the 285/75/18 set up we did. Thats a 34.8" tire with a 11.2" wide tire. EVEN with that we had rub at full crank but it wasnt as bad as 35x12.5. This was all with a +18 offset wheel as that is the sweet spot we like for both looks and functionality. Now there are other set ups of course that work, but we tell everyone to be prepared to do some modifying just to be safe. We have not tested every single fitment out there so we wont act like we know the perfect fits. But we would say better be safe then sorry.

We are currently running a 35x12.5x18 set up. +18 offset. Crash bars removed. And Icon Billet Pro UCAs. Sadly, we have a small spacer on our truck due to the control arms. We have slight rub at full crank during travel on elevated terrain (curbs, offroading, etc). The spacer fixed the issue. No, not everyone wants to run a spacer and neither do we. But if you get proper ones they are perfectly fine to use. (pic attached of that set up)

Hopefully this helps some! If you get more questions or need a kit feel free to message us and we will help get you the best set up we can for you.

Yep, I've adjusted my crash bars but am still rubbing like crazy, with a 2.5" leveling kit on 34.4" (actual) sized tires on OEM wheels

It's getting REALLY annoying.
