The biggest pain in the ass is the pressed in studs at the bottoms of the strut assemblies. They require you to pry the LCA's much further down to get the struts out. Removal would be much easier if they had used nuts and bolts as they do on the Ford Performance kit.
Funny you said nuts and bolts. That's exactly how I put my 2021 ecoboost back together. The splined bolt heads were a pitta to get out.

I cut off the studs on the factory struts.

Definitely remove the CV axle nut, and gently pop it out. You don't need to remove the CV from the vehicle, but just unseat it from the hub, this will prevent damage while prying, or extending the whole suspension assembly.

There's some great advice in this thread. When I did my coilovers I left the lower control arm in place and never touch the CV bolt. I'm not going to lie there was a lot of tension on the CV axle, probably be a good idea to at least loosen the bolt.

If you decide to remove the lower control arms make sure you mark where the bolts are so you can get the alignment pretty close. You will probably need a ratchet strap or something to move it into place, it's going to have some resistance on it.

I removed the lower control arm bolts as I wanted to replace them with alignment kit bolts.
