I can speak on this part. I use my power tailgate all the time. It comes in handy a lot more often than you think. Example, I need to back into a loading dock but want to use the backup camera all the way until I get in position. when I get close to position, I push the button to lower the tailgate so I know I'm not too close when the tailgate drops.Three, I'm intrigued by the perceived usefulness of the PAT. Maybe it'll be completely pointless and I'll end up using it as a normal tailgate 99% of the time, but I don't want to be wondering that later when I see PAT's in the wild and I'm without.
Another time is when someone else is unloading the bed. I can just stay in the truck and bring the tailgate down from inside. then bring it back up to leave.
3rd example. I got a 5 month old baby. I'll push the button for the tailgate to come down with one hand while holding her. Put up her stroller then push the button for the tailgate. All with one hand, all while holding the young'un.
