Exactly... If they weren't an auto-bot...Even so, they should know how they can PM someone here on the forum.
This right here is the truth. As wacky as it sounds, yep. Turns out sealing a huge sheet of moving glass in a thin roof panel is difficult!@kenmore99 I have a 22’ 150 Lariat with twin panel moonroof and during a big rain heard and saw water dripping from the left and right, inside the cab, but it was dripping into a channel I couldn’t see from the seat. No matter, thought it was a huge problem and had it into the dealership immediately. Turns out, it’s a new design and meant to drip into the tracks and it exhausts overboard outside. I know, seems nuts, but it’s true. The only abnormal leaking would be if it’s dripping onto seats or you feel the headliner is wet.
hope this helps and saves you an unnecessary trip to the dealer.
@Ford Motor Company Why don't you go away, you OBNOXIOUS PEST.Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.
So the autobot stated to take to nearest dealer- ok I knew that. Went through car wash and watched water pour in through one side where the glass panels meet in middle and water all across the back of the fixed panel which wet the screen all the way across. Now I can tell dealer exactly where its leaking bc the weeping holes are open. Thanx to everone's response.
mine no leak.Update- Ford has a mechanic that specializes in sunroof leaks and goes all over multistate dealers to repair leaks. He “ fixed “ mine by opening weep holes and a”’rerouting the glass” . Took it to carwash and watched 1/2 cup water flush through again.Called dealer who stated this was normal. I had a Lariat for 6 years that never leaked a drop- not accepatable in my mind as this will always cause issues later. I cannot find ANY KRs that do not have sunroof so I’ll shop for a loaded Lariat and move on. What a bunch of BS….
They are out there, I have one. but you are right, seems the majority of dealer ordered trucks all include the sunroof, at least on Lariats n up.I cannot find ANY KRs that do not have sunroof so I’ll shop for a loaded Lariat and move on. What a bunch of BS….
Literally the only option I left off with my personal order KingRanch. They are out there, I have one. but you are right, seems the majority of dealer ordered trucks all include the sunroof, at least on Lariats n up.
yup keeping the rubber trim happy helps a WHOLE lot at reducing the floodI had a 2019 Lariat with pano…was great. Then it leaked. And for the life of me after dealer visits and many videos and suggestions I could not get it to stop. I think I got it the pano as good as I could get it and only leaked in very heavy rain. No car washes for me. Hoping you have much better luck. I would suggest one thing that helped me. I used this stuff on all the rubber seals and it did seem to keep the rubber more plyable. It was a suggestion I found from a video that I do feel was helpful.
