Lariat Leather Seat Hole / Repair?

How do I repair this hole in my drivers side rear seat. No one sits on this side of the truck. Don't put anything on this seat. 38K on the truck. I do have the extended warranty, but would assume it is not covered under any warranty ?.

I'd consult with a competent upholstery shop, but expect that any repair will be almost as obvious as the damage on close inspection.

If aesthetic restoration is important, I suggest you start regularly searching ebay for a suitable OE take-off replacement.

In that case a competent upholstery shop should be able to take care of you without too much expense, maybe better than any of the many DIY 'leather' / vinyl repair kits on the market. I'd at least ask a shop and see what they suggest.

Or, you could try one yourself.

I don’t know your stitching but you could buy an entire set of leather like this Leather take off and then make your money back by selling the front 2 seats to one of the regular cab guys here.

Lariat take offs are regularly $200 on ebay (complete set), it doesn't get any cheap than that. Might be able to sell the fronts to someone for ~$100 that's got a RCSB bucket seat conversion.

Hell, might even find someone looking to get rid of the rears that have already gone down that route.

Well, don't just assume it's not covered under your warranty.

Is your extended warranty from Ford? If so, we would like to know of your experience and end results.

FWIW, to my untrained eye it looks like a material defect.

Hi I bought some lariat crew cab seat cover take offs and only used the two front for my single cab. I still have the back never used. They came out of a 21 or 22 lariat sport.
