I have the lane centering and it stays pretty much exactly in the center. Verified by the convex mirrors which can be adjusted to see the rear wheels.

I don’t use the lane centering though, since even with both hands firmly on the wheel, the alert comes on every 15 seconds unless I jerk the truck out of the lane ?‍♂?‍♀

Yeah, wiggling the wheel doesn’t seem to work on my truck. Hopefully Forscan or some other tool arrives where the sensitivity can be adjusted.

I always drive closer to the shoulder, so for me it probably is centered but I feel it drifts towards the center line on a two lane road. It will definitely take a little getting used to.

I'm running pretty much in the center of the lane when using cruise. You will never be hands free with the F150. I've found I need to provide a little resistance to the steering wheel in order to not get the warnings. It'll never be hands free like Cadillac.
Yes, it will be fully hands free in the F-150 if you have the 360 option - the hands free functionality will be downloaded later this year. This was a key part of why/how I optioned my incoming King Ranch Powerboost because we've gotten used to it in our Teslas.

It's annoying at first but you will get use to it. I can't wait for the upgrade on full drive mode.

It’s part of the assist 2.0 package and specifically the adaptive cruise.
My XLT High has the 360 camera package. Can the adaptive cruise and lane centering be added after the fact?

It shows you what kind of driver you are. Aggressive/Defensive. It’s definitely not as smooth as it can be but it works. The wind, bumps, and apexes in the curves it drives centered. My complaint is that the intelligent cruise slows you down way too late.

I received my platinum with the lane centering feature last week and immediately noticed this issue as I did about 200 miles on I-10. Whenever I passed cars in the left lane I had to fight the wheel a bit to stay at a comfortable distance. The truck definitely seems to favor the inside line on 2 lane highways. I hope this can get addressed by Ford

I used to have this before I figured out what works for me. I felt like I was always fighting the truck on the turns, and I also had a sense that it was never centered -- I was always in a tug of war with the truck and it never centered. If you "agree" with the direction the truck is going, it'll yell at you since it doesn't feel any resistance from you. And if you disagree it's usually because you're fighting the wheel as it tries to compensate

I've learned that you need to give it constant, predictable pressure so it knows you're there and doesn't yell at you, and you need to let it take control and not fight it. I typically "hang" my hand on the right end of the center spoke, letting the weight of my arm pull on the wheel. It takes a bit of easing into it so the truck doesn't over compensate, but it does catch on quickly and center itself. From there it's super consistent, and I don't get nagged about not having my hands on the wheel. It even maintains that compensation when assist turns itself off due to bad road lines, which is good otherwise I might suddenly turn into a ditch. This is probably worth a post of its own, I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out how this works and how to make it work for me. I was SO close to turning it off after the first few drives because I was exhausted fighting the truck for control.
