Always kind've wished the Powerboost was a plug in. So I decided to have some fun with the 3D printer at work. Next one I'll keep the body of the plug black so you can see the silver prongs easier. I might have some gold colored filament around here that would work better than the silver too.

I made one with a pintle hitch too. :D

Get idea, now you can park in hybrid only parking spots...

Side note;
Now the discussion will be that you have the plug upside down..... :crackup::crackup::crackup:

I have over 45 years as an electrician and this question has not been answered...I have heard many reasons for both ways....:clap:

Yup
When I took the journeyman test in early 80s the test had the ground plug on new construction or refits on top...some body hypothesized water running down a wall, would trip breakers saving a person from harm.

2 years later...the question was changed to reflect ground prong down.
Then horizontal boxes was ...ambiguous
Then a short time later I left home for a great navy career in aviation ?

I assumed that the ground plug down was naturally the obvious orientation. It's only in the last decade or so that the millenials are trying to change things but we need to re-engineer everything else first. Even outlet testers need to be reworked so you don't need to stand on your head to read them.

Funny you mention that cause the lettering on the plug (that you can't see because of the colors) would signify that the ground plug goes on top. Therefore it technically is installed upside down right now, however, it also can be flipped around easily enough.

However, every outlet I've wired in I always put the ground plug on the bottom simply because the cords seem to plug in easier that way. ?‍♂

Personally I think it would be funny to have a hitch adapter to Tesla or other standard charging.. even funnier if that was to a large battery in the bed to run a camper or home off of lol ?
