That's where I had mine before I put it on the board, but I didn't think it was necessary to...um, screw it to the floor mat. That's a new one for me. I guess it works...

I get it! It’s tacky!!! I didn’t want it sliding around! I sure as hell wasn’t drilling hole in the floor pan! Lol. It’s under the seat. So, who cares!

Quick update on this.

Thanks to SGS' Black Friday sale, I picked up the Zen Audio NAV TV module that everyone said is really necessary for "better sound". Only got around to installing it a few weeks ago because winter in Canada sucks.

HO LEE SHIT.

I am stunned by the difference in quality. The NAV TV really cleans up the music making it more clear and crisp. Not everyone might be able to perceive it, but I most certainly can and it's crazy how much better it sounds. Right away I was noticing individual instruments I hadn't heard before, vocals were superior, and the entire experience overall was just miles beyond what it had been. It only took the KEY a single re-tune after installing the NAV TV and it was absolutely perfect.

I'd say I finally have my system to a place where I'm really happy with it. Here's the whole breakdown:
  • Kicker KEY200.4
  • Kicker HS10 sub
  • Zen Audio NAV TV
  • Gladen RS doors and tweeters with SGS plug-and-play kits
  • SGS door block off plates
  • SGS sub blockoff plate
  • Blackhole mat (Vevor equivalent) on the inside of the exterior door skin, interior door skin, and back wall of the cab
My system ROCKS now, and that "impulse" kick that I thought the HS10 didn't have? Well it has it. It took the NAV TV cleaning up that horrendous signal and giving the sub its own dedicated output to bring it out. I'm honestly shocked at the performance it can deliver. Best of all, it's stop-start compatible.

The only thing I wish is I could get it a bit louder on certain songs, but I can crank it up to 30 now with NO distortion, and if I speak I can't hear my own words. I figure that's loud enough, so I'll save a bigger amp for the next truck.

HUGE THANKS to @SoundsGoodStereo for the absolute best customer service I've ever had. I have plenty of local shops and options, but they've earned my business for life as far as I'm concerned.

Awesome!! Congrats on getting your setup up and running. The ZEN is such an improvement over the factory signal and even other modules, it is why it costs what it does.

One thing you can do is set your gains at volume 25 on the factory radio, then it can provide you a buffer (25-30) for those songs that are recorded low.

If you need anything, feel free to reach out to us.
Thanks again
