I'm not sure if this post is redundant, but I cannot find anything in my brief research with my exact issue. Sorry in advance if this IS redundant and refer to the appropriate post if so. Thx.

My 2021 PowerBoost was updated at the dealership this past weekend to get some module recalibrated and get the BlueCruise update. It took almost 3 days of Ford having my truck to finally get everything taken care of being the service rep warned the update is very timely and often crashes.

The days following getting my truck back I got on the highway and turned on cruise control to test it out. It did not work however I completely expected that as interstate 66 in Northern VA has been under construction for the past 6 years and makes sense it is not a pre qualified highway.

I did however notice that Lane Centering feature no longer works. Before when I toggled on Cruise Control, the truck would steer itself as long as my hands were on the wheel and the lines on the road were visible. Lane Keeping still works so the steering wheel will vibrate and there is still a slight automatic steering correction if I get too close to the edge of my lane but Lane Centering was a feature I used every day since I drive a lot for work. I checked all my settings in the trucks settings - Adaptive Cruise Control is on and everything else pertinent I believe is toggled correctly. See photos.

If that is your Vin.. then they need to do the last IPC update. It is available. After that another Gateway and APIM will be avilable. That will get you fully funtional. As of now they have done the first half of the IPC update. There are two parts.

Hi there. This lane-centering concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your F-150. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end. I would also recommend removing your VIN from your last message as it is considered personally identifiable information (PII).

Hi is this thread still active? I have the exact same issue! Tried to get the update and boom, lane centering is gone. My dealer has tried 4-5 different fixes from hardware to software, and nothing worked. They recently admitted they though they were fixing something else, and didn’t even know what the lane centering was (confusing between lane assist, not centering). I was scheduled to take it back a couple months ago, and the day before they called and said “Ford has put a stop work order on all updates until they figure it out”. I think this is BS and they just don’t know what to do or deal with it. Can someone check my VIN and see what’s up! My VIN is 1FTFW1ED0MFC01183

I just wanted to add that I-66 is mapped for hands-free. I have no first hand knowledge if it actually works on this highway. In case you didn't know of this website, check out mapped hands-free highways. This is a good page to bookmark.

I am in the same boat and my vehicle is at the dealership again trying to get it to work with the local Ford engineer.

My truck has never received an update. When they tried the first time, I lost lane centering too. I have never gotten it back. It's been at the dealership off and on since August. They have replaced the Gateway module.

Thank you! It appears that 66 and the surrounding major highways are "active". Just an issue Ford needs to iron out with the actual hardware/software of the truck. I've always preferred Ford to other trucks and the self driving features are what attracted me to purchasing the new generation of F-150. Pretty upsetting that a primary feature that swayed me to purchase this truck is not working for myself and many others.

No lol. I purchased my truck from Sheehy in Springfield but I've taken my truck to Ourisman Manassas (formerly Battlefield Ford) because its closest to where I live, and more recently to Sheehy in Warrenton.

You have a job one and are FAR behind. The reason you lost Lane centering is the IPMA was updated.. and not the Cluster

Your Gateway id WAY behind and the IPC update is not showing because of the fact the gateway is so far behind. It would take someone that really knew what to do to fix your truck at this point. But until Ford gets the 21G01 program fixed it may never happenm

Jesse - I am in the middle of the buyback with Ford over this issue. I would rather cash and keep it and hope they fix this issue because I am having trouble finding a truck to replace mine. Their current cash and keep offer is insulting. Ordering would cost me more in price increases, sales tax, and interest rate hikes.

What is your opinion on them fixing it ever? Would me trying the ECU programming update listed in the forum work? I am on the mongoose waitlist to borrow. In case you need it 1FTFW1E86MFB04282. Thank you!
