I was checking the back of rear seat like any other person trying to figure out why the subwoofer is so weak and whats behind the seat, when I found the amp and subwoofer.

But to my surprise my amp/dap dosent have any B&O logo neither does it look like the ones on ebay and ford parts ….

So my question is simple to all who have a 8 speaker B&O system is this what you have ? Or my truck has a wrong part ?

I have seen these as the 8 speaker amp and even the part number is different!!
What the hell is going on ?

That's the newer amp for a 23, same thing, just newer/cheaper looking case and the same mediocre amp guts as a 21/22.
Thank you for confirming !

So they can't even put a logo now? this tiny little thing is anyways so shit to be called a premium audio system. Maybe the most disappointing thing about my Lariat. ?

Nope, guess not, that's what I thought as well. Ya join the club with everyone else pretty much, barely a mediocre system at best, especially after you experience a true premium system in a different vehicle, then come back to this, you really notice then how mediocre it sounds.

Do these amps get hot? Like would there be any worry about putting stuff behind the seat near it?

True, I didn't want to say this but my 21 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Laredo, with a base 6 speaker sounded 10x better, can't emphasize enough the quality of low bass.

this system sometimes gives me a headache, as some other member said somewhere "I have made peace by not playing any music on this system".

Anyway @superfordman do you know if we could replace the amp with an unleashed amp off ebay? connectors being the same and If I use the same DSP values from forscan? Would it need VIN registration just like CCM to replace?

I highly doubt, there is hardly anything these are powering to get hot.

Ha funny you mention that, a few of the guys I work with have Rams, I even had a few way back, 13, 14 & a 15, and that was always a nice benefit of them I and everyone notices, the Alpine system rocks in them. Compared to the Blow&O its not even close. One guy going from a Ram back to a Lariat is already looking up ways to improve it for that reason.

Good question, someone else might have a better answer but you should in theory then copy over your DSP asbuilt to it, there is no VIN value to worry about, but honestly I don't know if I'd waste the time or money to even try, unless you can pick up a Unleashed amp for dirt cheap. Its essentially the same thing just more channels, not a whole lot more power really, and same crappy sub.

You'd be better off doing what everyone else, and what I'm even considering doing more, is going aftermarket. I added the SoundsGoodStereo behind seat sub and it sounds great, but want some more value so actually just ordered a behind seat MTI box to step up to a 10" sub. I'm even heavily considering pulling the trigger on the Mobridge all in one DSP and amp to give it a go to just ditch the B&O amp completely.

Wow! This Mobridge DSP looks amazing. So this replaces the B&O amp and works on the same power and connections?
There are way too many features and channels for me though. If it was just a plug-and-play I might consider upgrading the speakers to match the power. But I don't know.

on the other hand, I'll keep an eye on the unleashed one if anything cheap is available, right now they are about 250USD used on eBay.

In the meantime, I have been playing with Forscan values under 783-02-01 VEQS settings.
Weird is that my initial setting is completely different from the LIVINITUP's sheet options.

I've never had an amp in a car/truck so I wasn't sure if they need airflow or whatnot. I did buy a Dell "slimline" desktop on time that just made it long enough to get 15 days out of warranty before it died due to lack of good airflow. Getting snakebit like that I started building all my personal PCs and my current one has 10 fans counting the fans on the video card......sounds like a jet airplane lol

Am sure it does sound like that and you like it ! On the other hand, these OEM equipment are fairly made and installed after good R&D. As I said, these are not so great at power consumption either so little chance of this thing getting hot hot ever.

here is the amp to my worthless 18 speaker "unleashed" system. 18 speakers with 98% of the sound coming from the one center dash speaker. It's like we went back to 1965.

That explains my concern. Especially as I read your signatures, every deletes and cost-cutting is more like cutting 75% of value for the 75th-year model but priced at 100%.

Sad to see the B&O name being used so proudly and not even halfway at quality.

Capitalism at its best, slap the label and sell shit.
